Dr. Margie H. Shaw

J.D., Ph.D. Philosophy and Education

Dr. Shaw is an expert in medical ethics with numerous publications. She retains an appointment as Professor of Medical Humanities and Bioethics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where she also serves as a senior policy advisor. Prior to her medical career, Dr. Shaw served as a judicial administrator at Cornell University where she obtained her J.D.

Peter M. P. Atkinson

M. Lit., M. Ed.

An experienced writer and educator, Mr. Atkinson has held academic appointments in the United Kingdom, United States, and Tanzania. He is well versed in international history, public policy, and political philosophy. He is also author of “UNIS 1947-2017,” a historical synopsis on the United Nations International School in New York.

Dr. Hedia Belhadj

M.D., MPH Senior Professional in Public Health

Dr. Belhadj is a Senior professional in public health. She has served in various positions in United Nations organisations, UNFPA and UNAIDS, in New York, Geneva, Yemen, Tanzania and China. She contributed to the development of national strategies in reproductive and sexual health within global agendas. Dr Belhadj is holder of a Doctorate in Medicine and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University; former Post-doctoral fellow at the Population Council, New York, she published peer-reviewed papers on health policies and sexual and reproductive rights. Since 2017, she has been President of Groupe Tawhida Ben Cheikh, for Research and Action in Women’s Health, Tunisia.

Dr. Mohammad K. Hamidi M.D.

M.D. General Surgery Resident

Dr. Hamidi is a resident surgeon and clinical researcher at University of Arizona Medical Center. He has published prolifically on the subjects of acute care surgery, surgical oncology, and traumatic brain injury. Prior to his surgical training, Dr. Hamidi was a research fellow at the Department of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery where he focused on traumatic brain injury and the use of anti-coagulants in trauma patients.
